Why do joints pop during chiropractic adjustments?
When you adjust or manipulate a joint, it sometimes results in the release of a gas bubble between the joints, which produces a popping sound. A typical example of this is when you “crack” your knuckles. A change in pressure within the joint, resulting in gas bubbles’ release, causes the noises you hear. There is usually little to no discomfort involved in this process.
