Isaac LeBlanc

(Counsellor, Registered Social Worker)

[He/Him] Isaac is passionate about supporting clients to live more authentically, deepen their connection to their values, and move toward healing with curiosity and empowerment. He takes an integrative approach to therapy that is influenced by Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. Isaac’s approach is built on relational practice, understanding that compassion, choice, and collaboration are essential to creating a safe therapeutic environment. His practice is informed by the belief that healing happens through building insight, reauthoring personal narratives, and fostering self-compassion.

Isaac holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Regina, a Bachelor of Social Work from Dalhousie University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Saint Mary’s University. He is a Registered Social Worker with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers.

Isaac brings extensive experience supporting diverse populations, including Indigenous families, interagency complex case management, youth at risk, trauma survivors, and individuals navigating systemic barriers.

Isaac’s clinical practice experience spans community, educational, and healthcare settings, including roles with Mi’kmaq Family and Children’s Services, SchoolsPlus, and Glooscap First Nation. His work is grounded in a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive framework, with a strong commitment to cultural humility, collaboration, and advocacy. He has a special interest in supporting highly sensitive individuals and those living with complex trauma to reconnect with their strengths, foster resilience, and heal through a non-pathologizing approach to mental health.

Outside of work, Isaac enjoys spending time outdoors, including hiking scenic trails, kayaking along the coast, and taking his dog for long walks. He is passionate about giving back to the community and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity. Isaac is an avid cook who loves trying new recipes, is a film enthusiast, and values friends and family. These activities help him stay grounded, energized, and connected to the things that matter most.
