Alyssa is passionate about helping people understand the value, and improving the longevity of their health and wellness, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. She enjoys incorporating movement into her treatments. This dynamic and holistic approach stems from an energy work background that includes such things as Usui Reiki, Cranial Sacral Therapy and Yoga. She is fascinated by Body mechanics and functionality and enjoys treating anything from everyday postural conditions to high level athletes.
Alyssa graduated in 2019 from the Atlantic College of Therapeutic Massage in Fredericton NB, successfully passed the Legislative Provincial Board Exams and is in good standing with the Massage Therapy Association of Nova Scotia. Prior to her career in Massage Therapy she was a stylist for 11 years. She chose to make a career change to help improve her health. Through her transition she completed her 200 HR Yoga Teacher training and 75HR Yin training; a fantastic compliment to massage therapy. She also has earned a certificate involving over 100 sport clinical hours. Alyssa has worked with a diverse clientele which includes spinal injuries, work place injuries, whiplash, concussion’s, pre/post natal pain and dysfunction, neuromuscular disorders and mental health. She is also happy to help with stress reduction and maintenance needs.
Alyssa is eager to advance her skills and is working toward taking such courses as External Approaches to Pelvic pain and Dysfunction, TMJ Dysfunction with Intra Oral Massage and Somatic Body Work so stay tuned!
In her down time, she is continuously finding ways to express her creativity through art and music and loves the ocean and her pet bunnies.
